Clown with Christopher Bayes
Jump into your body....Open like a little flower....Rediscover your playful spirit and the simple pleasure and ferocious generosity of performance. We will pursue the Clown together in all of its messy and hilarious beauty. Your relationship to all other forms of drama will be enriched by the openness and reckless abandon that the Clown requires. And after the clowns are discovered?...they can begin to make a mess in gleeful pandemonium, go on to find their names, and explore triumph and tragedy! Let’s find out what’s funny about you! Each day begins with a group warm-up before students split into solo and group exercises - including songs, games, and exploration of emotional dynamics. Let’s have some fun! |

Each day starts with a group warm-up, and is followed by solo and group exercises in nose. Discover and deepen your relationship with the audience and learn how to bring your joy. |

Acting as Play - Monologue Edition
with Gabriel Levey Harness the Clown’s relentless pursuit of fun in order to take big risks before feeling “ready." Get out of your brain and into your body! Embrace the precarious pleasure of not needing to know what’s coming next! Lead with audacious hope, despite inevitable disasters laid out in the play! Using a mix of clown exercises and scene work, Acting As Play will strengthen each student’s ability to listen, play without shame, be generous with others (and themselves), and explore each individual's Empathic Vulnerability: the ability to fully see another while being seen fully by another - remaining open to the possibility of transformation. |
