Is this an acting class?
Yes! We work on skills that help any performer be more authentic, playful, and in-the moment. We host a variety of classes that target different skills. Take a look at our Fall Classes.
Do you offer traditional “scene study” acting classes?
You betcha, bucko! Acting as Play with Gabriel Levey works on scenes, but in a play-informed way! Gabe and Annelise also offer one-on-one acting coaching. You can email us at [email protected] to inquire about rates and availability.
I’ve never taken Clown before! What classes can I take?
You can take Clown for All Weekend, Intro to Clown, or Summer Clown and Commedia with no prior experience. You can also take most of our other classes!
I’ve taken a LOT of Clown before. What classes can I take?
Depends! Clown for All Weekend is always a great way to dip a toe into Pandemonium’s pedagogy and see how it suits. In general we ask that folks take Clown with Chris before they move onto Advanced Clown. Email us if you’re not sure!
What should I bring for class?
Wear clothes you can move in, and be prepared to work in athletic shoes or barefoot. Something to write with is a plus,Water bottle and snacks are a good idea too!
I have a high-school aged child - can they take the class?
Unfortunately no. Because of the adult nature of the class, all participants need to be 18 years of age or older.
I’ve heard this class can be physically and/or emotionally involved. What should I expect?
This is an acting class that includes a number of group and solo warm-ups and exercises. They involve singing, shouting, jumping, stomping, laughing, and sometimes crying. If you’re concerned about an access need, send us an email!
